I have finally gotten the hang of Toon Boom enough to produce something, no matter if it's...meh. Until I am skilled enough to make real animations, I'll be throwing out random, sloppy crap. I dunno why I draw stuff like this when I'm actually in a really good mood.

Tree Concept

Wanted to make some warm autumn-y picture, but it ended up warping into something else.

Just a concept sketch. I probably won't do anything more to it.

Nothing Left

Sorry for the morbidity. This was a scene that has been lingering in my head for a long time, and it feels glorious to see it come to life. Tried to experiment with water, no refs, and it turned out okay, not great. (...assuming people even realize that's what it is.) Ref for the basics of the body pose. I won't say who it is, what's going on, or whether it's real or just a whim, but someone who knows me well MIGHT be able to guess....maybe. I shan't reveal, regardless. =3

Tranquility

This started out as a completely random sketch that wasn't intended to turn out cool...which is usually how my cool pieces start out. Go figure. Screw planning things, then. Hehe.

Still a work in progress. I have plans to have lots of glowy stuff in the sky. I'm super busy with school, so I get depressed when I think it may be a while before I get to work on this again. *sigh*

Young Aeryn

Drew this a while ago, actually, and recently realized I never put it up anyway. So here are. A snippet from my sketchbook (hence crappy-ness. I hate showing traditional work online, because it is impossible to capture what it really looks like.) I draw/write about Aeryn a lot, and I wanted to render him as a kid. Ain't he a cutie? <3

Teddy has a friend.

I really felt like sketching aimlessly. This was the product. I had originally drawn the dude, and was trying to figure a purpose for him, when I remembered I had been thinking about Teddy and Fen earlier and wanted to draw them. So, I decided he is a part of their world. And I gave him a creature like Fen. He likes hair gel and clear nail polish. They both currently lack a name, which I will decide on when the right ones pop up.

But seriously. Kenshin is the SHIT. I used to be obsessed with Rurouni Kenshin, yeeaarss ago...and I randomly started watching some episodes online today...and basically wasted my day.

So here's the result. Two 5 minute sketches of the manslayer. On the left, I intended to have him in my own style, but the result was .WFKBCVFB VKJD BC. On the right is his famous Oro? Gotta love Kenshin. <3 Refs not really used for either

Too Many Nameless Rugged Men

The wrapping up of school the past month or so has led me to have zero motivation and time...among many other things that have happened. Tonight I am enjoying the thought that tomorrow is my last final and my last day of school, and it felt really nice to just sit down and start sketching all loosey goosey with my tablet (which has been gathering dust...yay because summer=time to draw!) Alas, it's no surprise that a man popped up. I don't think I've ever really seriously drawn a dude with long hair before...it's kinda fun. In a vague way, this makes me think of Aragorn. But Viggo's way hotter. (And I did my best to make this look manly, and the result was asexual, according to my mum. Oh well, bishie is always A-okay.)

(Edit: I now see this as absolutely gross...but I'm far too lazy to do anything about it.)

Stubble is Sexy.

I had started a sketch of a scene from earlier on in the RP, but it annoyed me and I just really didn't feel like finishing it. Although I still might someday, I had a huge urge to color this one part (I have a fancy for Dom lately). I added the stubble because, well...stubble is sexy. Dom doesn't generally walk around unshaven.

This is obviously incomplete, but I probably won't have time to finish it for a little while, so here is what I have so far. I should really start drawing girls...

Sibling Rivalry - Silas / Dom

GOD. It STILL continues.

Silas and Dominic are fun to draw together. This took about 5 or 10 minutes. That's why this is a "sketch" blog. =P

This is them when they are a bit younger, definitely before the RP takes place. Poor Silas, looks like at this point in their lives, their age difference looks to be much more than a year. Oh well. Even if Silas was a late developer, he's super sexy when he finally grows up. ;)

Nameless Mage Guy

My procrastination continues. I don't know who this is. He looks sort of like a mage. Hm. He will remain nameless.

I need to stop sketching and do my homework. Or at least work on the Key poster.

Jail Concept

I didn't really try that hard on the perspective, so don't bother pointing out that it's sloppy. I randomly start sketching this as I was losing motivation to work on my homework. It was mildly entertaining. But, alas, there sits my book open with many un-done problems. SIGH.

Dominic and Silas / Key Poster WIP

This is what I've done on the poster so far. It's coming along nicely, although it's taking much longer than I had originally anticipated.












I drew Dominic and Silas. Together. Finally. They're brothers from an RP a friend and I are writing, if you didn't know.

Pirates are sexy.

I seem to release my frustration from every week on the weekend in the form of art...(or, "art.") Therefore, last night, I went crazy with my tablet and Photoshop (a deadly combination when I have homework to do.) I worked on Mr. Sexy (lol, it's a black and white picture I've been working on that has picked up that name because he's sexy.) I started working on the poster for The Key, and after that I just doodled a bunch. I had a sudden urge to draw pirates. Because pirates are sexy.

I may clean this up someday and color it.

The Key "Movie Poster" Sketch

If anyone's heard, one of my friends and I are going to start a website featuring both of our [main] stories. The front page will lead to different branches of the site, and we will each have a "movie poster" representing our stories, leading to where the story actually is. (Wow, that was unnecessarily wordy.) This is the sketch of the one I'll at least start with (it's not exactly what I had in mind, but I'll eventually make a new one, I'm sure.)

Poor Elf Guy

I have a million things going. A million things I am drawing/need to draw/promised to draw/want to draw...you get the point. I randomly started scribbling and this emerged. I normally hate elves...I dunno, I just don't like pointy ears all that much. But I really wanted him to have pointy ears. Looks like he's gonna die, anyway, so oh well. (haha.)
