Stick Figure Toon Boom Test

I just got my super duper new Toon Boom Studio Express for Christmas, and of course I've already tried it out. With the help of a tutorial (found here) I made a quick little animation of a stick figure throwing a ball (and breaking something. Primitive-animation-skills violence. Whoo.) I'm still getting used to how the program works (I've never used any animation program before...unless you count Windows Movie Maker, which was my pathetic solution up until now.) It's all pretty exciting, and I can't wait to get the hang of it and make something really cool. =)

Dominic

So, I attempted to draw my new RP character, Dominic, like a billion times. On the right is actually just my first random sketch of him, drawn in my school planner. I liked it, but LEAH thinks he looks too elf-ish. Oh well. That's pretty much how I picture him. On the left I altered the sketch a little to try and make him look more...manly? It looks icky. Not how I picture him at all. So the one on the right reigns. I'll probably never do anything more to it. But I'll eventually draw another pic of him.

Layout

I realize that, while I have a wide-screen laptop, many people's monitors are not wide-screen. Therefore, although I originally set up the banner in my wider internet browser, I went back and changed it so it looked the way I wanted in a normal-sized view. (Yes, this may seem rather stupid; now it doesn't look the way I wanted it to on my computer...but it looks cool on most. It's not that it looks BAD in wide-screen, it just looks better in...not wide-screen.)

Kudos to anyone who understood that.
